Welcome to the Plowden Arms

 

The Plowden Arms is a quaint traditional English coaching inn that never fails to please. From it's stunning summertime appearance with huge beer garden, to the snug and warm winter look with a real fire crackling away in the background.

 

Come and enjoy real homecooked food made with produce sourced locally wherever possible. We have a separate dining area that is cosy, spacious and welcoming. We serve Brakspears real ales so you can be sure of a great pint of your favourite beer.

 

Outside we have a car park, a large beer garden and smoking area. You'll see we are ideally located on the A4155 and a very popular place for walkers and ramblers to use as a base. We're perfectly placed for The Thames Path and Shiplake Lock, so feel free to park up and take a stroll then join us for a well deserved meal.We also allow dogs in the bar so long as they are with well behaved owners!
